Where should we go?
February 10, 2018
This refers to the letter ‘Arms licence’ (Feb 9) by Lt Col (r) Babar. I have been facing the same problem since the government have barred post offices from renewing arms licences. I obtained a rifle licence from Dera Bugti, Balochistan 15 years ago when I was posted there. Payments for the renewal of the licence were done in a timely manner at Islamabad post offices.
However, when the licence was taken to Nadra for conversion, the authorities said that the case can only be dealt with by Dera Bugti authorities. I am a retired officer and cannot visit Dera Bugti. The Ministry of Interior must allow Nadra to take up conversion cases of these licences.
