Torture of woman: Inquiry ordered against policeman
TOBA TEK SINGH: DPO Usman Akram on Sunday directed Arrouti police SHO to hold an inquiry into the charges leveled by a woman against her police constable brother-in-law for allegedly cutting her hair and torturing her.
Anam Bibi had complained to the Arrouti police that her brother-in-law Safdar Ali, who is a police constable, had allegedly tortured her and cut her hair over a domestic dispute. The police said that the woman had produced a medico legal certificate in the police station and an inquiry was underway. The police said that after recording the statements of both complainant woman and the accused cop, the SHO would submit his report to the DPO for further action.

Muhammad Ahmad, son of farmer Manzoor Hussain, was playing in the courtyard of his house when suddenly he slipped and fell into a small water pond built for animals. As a result, he drowned.
