KP CM says time is over for PML-N, PPP to take turns for rule
NOWSHERA: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said on Sunday time was over for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Pakistan People's Party to take turns to rule the country as now Pakistan needed an honest leadership.
He said this while speaking at two different public meetings at Rashakai and Badrashi areas. A local elder, Muhammad Razaq Khan, along with his family members and friends quit the Jamaat-e-Islami and announced joining the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
KP Minister for Excise and Taxation Mian Jamshedduddin Kakakhel, Member National Assembly Dr Imran Khattak, District Nazim Liaquat Khattak, Malik Abrar Khan, Gulrez Khan and Amjad Azam also spoke on the occasion.
The chief minister said that PTI was the only political party in the country, which had implemented own manifesto. He said the people could feel the change in KP. "The PTI would win the 2018 general election. Imran Khan will be the prime minister of the country and PTI will form government not only at the Centre but also in all the four provinces," he hoped.
Pervez Khattak said masses could no longer be cheated through catchy slogans raised from time to time by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Pakistan People's Party and religio-political parties.
The chief minister said youth were with Imran Khan and they were an asset to the PTI, which is busy in bringing about a real change in the province. Pervez Khattak said Imran Khan never used the helicopter for his own benefits, adding he was sadiq (truthful) and ameen (trustworthy).
The chief minister was critical of rival political parties - PML-N, PPP and ANP - and accused them of doing nothing for the masses when they were in power. Pervez Khattak enumerated the steps taken by the KP government during the last over four years for the welfare of the masses. He mentioned the reforms introduced in the health and education sectors.
The chief minister said uniform education system was introduced in the province to put an end to the class-based system. He said 45,000 teachers were recruited through transparent National Testing System.
He said the facilities at the state-run hospitals were improved and Sehat Sahulat Cards were introduced to provide free medical treatment to the people. Pervez Khattak said the Police Department had been made free from political interference and the police had been turned into a people-free force. The chief minister insisted that no corruption was made the Billion Tree Tsunami
