A threat to remember
February 04, 2018
On Thursday (Feb 1), the Supreme Court sentenced Syed Nehal Hashmi to one-month imprisonment. Hashmi was found guilty of contempt of court. He is also barred from holding public office for the next five years.
Last May, a video went viral in the media in which he was lashing out at those responsible for the ouster of the former PM, Nawaz Sharif. Although he had offered an unconditional apology, it was too late. The entire nation is rejoicing at the court’s verdict.
