CHARSADDA: A village council nazim affiliated with the Awami National Party (ANP) announced joining the Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) along with family members and supporters here Wednesday.
Nazim of Tarlandi Village Council Dost Muhammad made the announcement at a function at the Markaz-e-Islami, the main office of the JI.
Speaking on the occasion, JI leader Muhammad Riaz Khan said that the US, India and Israel were fanning terrorism in the region. He said some elements were conspiring against Pakistan at the behest of these countries.
The JI leader accused the ANP leaders of promoting their vested interest in the name of Pakhtun nationalism. He believed the ANP leaders were responsible for the killings of innocent people.
