The recently concluded T20 series between New Zealand and Pakistan has finally given the latter a chance to celebrate. After a disappointing performance in the ODI series, Green Shirts bounced back and won the T20 series. This victory has given the country No1 position in the ICC T20 rankings. Although the entire nation is happy for the national team, the authorities must have a look at the primary cause behind the poor performance of the team in the ODI series.

Last year, the spectacular victory in the Champions Trophy gave the much-needed confidence to the national team. However, the recent series indicate that the team needs to focus on its weaknesses. The mega event, the World Cup, is only a few months away. We need to be prepared for the event.
