Session on healthy diet
Islamabad: The Shifa Foundation regularly arranges activities to bring diagnostic services to the doorsteps of people. Under its occupational health awareness programme, awareness is provided on health hazards at workplaces to the staff members of organisations across the country.
This was stated by Syed Faraz Hassan, executive director at the Shifa Foundation, during a free medical camp organised on Thursday for over 150 employees of English Biscuit Manufacturers Limited.
The staff members were examined for diagnosis of diabetes, Body Mass Index (BMI) and blood pressure. Detailed consultation was provided to each employee. A session was also held to aware the EBM management as well as employees on diabetes, depression, hand hygiene, and effects of smoking. Dr. Khizzer Pervaiz, assistant director (medical staff affairs) at the Shifa International Hospital, was also among the resource persons for the awareness session.
