Illegal food brand sealed

LAHORE: The Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) Monday sealed an illegal food brand. Reportedly, the setup, situated at Mehmood Booti was working without a licence. The company was preparing bottled drinking water, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, vinegar, curry powders, jams, pickle, jellies and salt illegally. Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority Director General Engineer Khalid Siddiq constituted a special team to take action against companies working illegally and involved in preparing substandard items. The team also issued warning notices to shopkeepers involved in selling fake brands.
