Candyland win KP T20 Youth Cricket Cup
PESHAWAR: Candy Land clinched the trophy after defeating Khyber Agency by 34 runs in the final of the first Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Youth Twenty20 Cricket Tournament being played here at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Candy Land team skipper won the toss and elected to bat first by setting up 162 runs with opener Abdu Zar smashed an elegant knock of 62 runs including five boundaries and four towering sixes, Aamir Zeb hit another quick-fire 37 runs and Mohib scored 22 runs. For Khyber Agency Green Ijaz claimed three wickets, Ajmal and Syed Nazir got one wicket each. In reply, Khyber Agency Green failed to chase the target and were bundled out for 126 runs.
Adnan made 32 runs, Abdur Rahim scored 13 runs, none of the other batsmen could cross the double figures. For Candy Land Arif Shah claimed three wickets, Rawat and Murtaza got two wickets each.
