Man arrested for attempting to ‘lure’ minor girl

NOWSHERA: The police on Saturday booked a man for allegedly attempting to sexually assault a nine-year old girl in Manki Sharif in the district.

Shah Jehan, the father of Ayesha, told the cops of Manki Sharif Police Station that her daughter came out of the house to dispose of garbage. He said that one Zar Badshah had tried to lure her by offering her toffees.

He said that the girl ran to the house and informed him about the incident. The accused managed to escape, police said.

The police lodged a case against the accused under the Child Protection Act and started investigation.
