CM visits residence of rape victim

NOWSHERA: Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Friday visited the house of the minor girl in Pabbi town of the Nowshera district, who was molested two days back, and assured transparent investigation into the incident to provide justice to the affected family.

District Nazim Liaqat Khattak, lawmaker Mian Khaliqur Rehman Khattak and others accompanied the chief minister during the visit.

Pervez Khattak expressed grief and sympathies with the bereaved family and condemned the gruesome incident in the strongest words.He said an impartial investigation would be carried out into the incident to ensure that the accused could not escape justice.

Superintendent of Police Investigation Sanaullah Khan briefed Pervez Khattak about the incident and investigation into the case. The official informed the chief minister that the doctors had sent the specimen of the minor girl for deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) test to a laboratory in Lahore in Punjab province.

He said the medical tests of the arrested accused had been carried out and the doctors had confirmed that the girl was molested. The chief minister directed the SP investigation to carry out an impartial investigation into the incident.

An accused had molested a three-year-old girl child Madiha in Khusmuqam area in Pabbi. The local had nabbed the accused and handed him over to police.

Meanwhile, addressing a public rally at Sadrikhel, Pirpiai, the chief minister said the PTI would sweep the 2018 elections as the people want a real change in the country.

He said the era of plunder and loot was over as the people had accepted the call of PTI chief Imran Khan against corruption.
