KOHAT: The police on Friday arrested two accused including the brother of Member Provincial Assembly (MPA), Gul Sahib Khan, belonging to the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the case of harassment of a woman, an official said.

Speaking at a press conference, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Saddar, Zahir Shah said that a woman got registered the case against two accused at the Muhammad Riaz Shaheed Police Station.

He said the woman told the police that Shakeel, the brother of Karak lawmaker Gul Sahib Khan, and his friend Amjad broke into her house in Khattak Colony. She said the two men tried to assault her and fired shots into the air before escaping after she resisted and raised hue and cry.

She said that the police arrested Shakeel and Amjad and recovered a pistol and several cartridges from them. She said that Shakeel belongs to an influential family and one of his brothers Omar Daraz is the district nazim of Karak.

The unidentified woman complained that the family of the accused was putting pressure on her to withdraw the case. She appealed to the PTI chief Imran Khan to help her provide justice in the case.
