According to the Federal Minister for Climate Change, public awareness is the key to achieve the goal of the sustainable and clean environment. Every one of us has to play his or her role to achieve the goal of sustainable and clean environment for the present and future generations, particularly through judicious use of natural resources. It is heartening to note that the present government and various NGOs are aware of the pressing environmental and climate change issue and has taken various measures to tackle these issues.
The environmental degradation, illegal tree cutting and the hunting of the wildlife have reached an alarming level. Not only the people are being deprived of their right to pollution-free environment and healthy lives, but wildlife species are also vanishing gradually because of loss of their habitats due to rampant environmental degradation. There is an urgent need for all shareholders in both the public and private sectors to join the government’s hands to protect the environment from further destruction and play their part to rehabilitate the environment.
