Quetta attack
On Tuesday (Jan 9), a suicide attack in Quetta claimed the lives of at least seven people and left around 23 people injured. According to the preliminary investigation report, the suicide bomber was riding a motorcycle and was moving towards provincial assembly. However, when he failed to find the way due to strict security measures, he rammed his vehicle into a police truck. These frequent attacks show that Pakistan’s war on terror is not over.
Several days ago, US President Donald Trump accused Pakistan of providing safe havens to terrorists. It is time the US and the rest of the world realises that Pakistan has contributed a lot towards the fight against terrorism. It has lost more than 60,000 human lives. Terrorism is a global issue. Collective efforts of all countries can help put an end to this menace and restore peace in the world.
