Islamabad: National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has dispatched two C-130 aircraft carrying 24 tons of humanitarian relief goods here Saturday to avalanche hit area of Afghanistan.
The avalanche in North East Afghanistan following heavy snow hit small mountainous province, Panjshir in the North of the capital, Kabul on February 26, causing widespread disaster and heavy causalities. On humanitarian grounds Pakistan government has extended relief assistance for the avalanche affectees as a gesture of solidarity with the Afghan brethren.
