A jobless man and a depressed teenage girl committed suicide in separate incidents on Saturday.
Kifiyatullah, 22, locked himself in a room of his residence at Abbas Town In Gulshan-e-Iqbal after a quarrel with his parents and ended his own life by hanging himself to death from a ceiling fan.
Later, his mother knocked the door of his room and on receiving no answer from inside called her neighbours who broke the door and found his hanged body.
They immediately informed the police.
The police reached the spot and shifted the body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for a postmortem examination.
According to the police, the deceased was jobless and after scolding from his parents ended his life.
Eighteen-year-old Arusha was also found hanging in a
room of her home in Mauripur area after quarrel with her mother.
The police on a call came to site and shifted her body to the Civil Hospital.
According to the area police, the girl wanted to marry the man she loved but on opposition by her parents got dejected and committed suicide by hanging herself.
