MANSEHRA: The affected landowners of the 4200 megawatts Dassu hydropower project in Upper Kohistan district on Tuesday warned Wapda to stop work on the dam, otherwise they would get it stopped by force.
“We have decided not to allow Wapda to continue work on dam until our all
demands are met as it has violated agreement of inducting locals and pay
market prices of their land acquired for dam,” Maulana Taj Mohammad, the member of landowners committee, told a press conference in Kamila.
