Timely elections
It is heartening to note that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has reiterated that democracy is the best way forward for the nation. He has asserted that the government will complete its constitutional tenure and the next general elections will be held in a timely manner. The prime minister made this statement while laying the foundation stone at the Faisalabad Estate Development and Management Company near Chak Jhumra.
As per the prime minister, the country was facing severe bouts of instability around six years ago. However, he assured participants that the situation had improved over the years and foreign investors were showing a keen interest in investing in various sectors of the country. According to the PM, the government determined to provide all possible incentives and other facilities to investors. He ensured that instead of making hollow promises, the government has primarily focused on delivering benefits to the people. It has done this by overcoming the prevailing issues and problems faced by the people, especially with regard to the gas and electricity shortage. These joint ventures with local and foreign investors are making a significant contribution towards accelerating rapid industrialisation. This has resulted in progress and prosperity for the people. Such development activities will surely bode well for the country and infuse a positive wave of growth.
