Landowners seek plots in New Balakot City Project
MANSEHRA: The landowners, who were served with final notices by the district administration to vacate houses at New Balakot City Housing Project, have demanded the government to allot them plots.
“We are ready to vacate our houses but the district administration should first allot plots to us in the New Balakot City,” Arshad Abbasi, one of the landowners, told reporters here on Sunday.
Arshad Abbasi, Mohammad Naeem and Mukhtar Ahmad announced they were ready to vacate houses voluntarily, saying that the government should first identify the plots for them at a place where they could construct houses.
Arshad Abbasi said that the government had served with final notices to over 133 landowners and residents but almost 35 were still to be awarded plots at an appropriate place where they could construct houses.
“The Revenue Department should earmark plots to us a single piece of planned and developed land so that we could build our houses there,” he added.
