Winter blackout

Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif repeatedly declared that loadshedding will be addressed by his government before 2018. But as the new year of approaches, loadshedding has continued unabated in Turbat. This demonstrates how the former PM’s promises have come to naught.

Over the past few years, the region has witnessed little or no loadshedding during winter. However, the frequent power outages have come as a nasty surprise this year. The Wapda authorities need to deal with this problem with immediate effect.
