Six killed in fog-related accidents

BAHAWALPUR: Three passengers were killed and 10 others injured in an accident due to fog near Ahmadpur East on Bahawalpur-Ahmadpur National Highway on Saturday. A van was going to Rahimyar Khan when a trailer collided with it. In the meantime, two cars also rammed into them. As a result, van driver Shahid of Bahawalpur, Shahid Ali and an unidentified man were killed on the spot while 10 others were injured.

FAISALABAD: Three people died and twenty others sustained critical injuries in fog related accidents on Saturday. Students M Ahmad of Bhaiwala, Hamid and Osama were going to their school on a motorcycle when a speeding bus hit them, leaving Ahmad dead on the spot and Hamid and Osama wounded critically. In the second accident on Sheikhupura Road, a fast-moving dumper hit teenaged motorcyclist M Afzal, leaving him injured. He died on way to a hospital.

Motorcyclist Safdar Ali of Chak 586/GB, Lundianwala was hit by a speeding vehicle and died on the spot. Eighteen passengers were travelling in a bus when a sugarcane laden tractor-trolley hit it on Sheikhupura Road, leaving all the passengers wounded critically.
