Nine suspects held in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: The city police, in an operation, arrested nine people in the city while recovering more than 57kg hashish, 77 bottles of liquor and arms.
The Cantt Division Police carried out grand operation against narcotics smugglers in areas adjacent to the boundary wall with Khyber Agency and arrested three narcotics smugglers by recovery of 3 kg hashish.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of SSP Operation Sajjad Khan and SP Cant Waseem Riaz and ASP Hayatabad Waqar Azeem on the directives of Capital City Police Officer Tahir Khan, in which Rapid Response Force, Quick Response Force and local police including ladies participated. Sniffer dogs are also used.
