Clean water
The acute water shortage in Gwadar has taken a toll on the lives of residents. The level of underground water is diminishing at a fast pace. This is an alarming situation which has sent a wave of fear and unrest among residents. Water is the basic necessity of life and almost every household needs it for domestic purposes.
Therefore, residents cannot sit idle and wait for the government to take action. The only option they have is to purchase water from water tankers owned by the water mafia who sell water at high prices. Since residents are deprived of this basic utility, they pay hefty price without protest. The provincial government should act responsibly and take measures to ensure the supply of clean water to residents of Gwadar.
