TIMERGARA: Dir Task Force (DTF) Commandant Colonel Amir Shehzad on Wednesday said there were little chances of terrorists’ infiltration from Afghanistan into Pakistani territory due to comprehensive border management system implemented by security forces on the Pak-Afghan border.

He expressed these views while addressing an introductory jirga with officials of the district administration and local elders at Toora Ghundai Fort in Munda, Lower Dir.

The commander of local peace force, Malik Khan Bacha, and noted religious scholar Qazi Azizul Haq Usmani also spoke on the occasion. Commander Jandool Battalion Colonel Shahid Aman, Major Tariq, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Ajmal Khan, PTI Lower Dir president Muhammad Bashir Khan, member district council Qazi Inamul Haq and others were present.

“Security forces had blocked the way of terrorists that’s why they were now trying to hit soft targets to spread terror among the masses,” the DTF commandant said, adding that security forces won’t let anyone terrorise people. He warned that those found guilty of facilitating the anti-state elements would be punished.

Colonel Amir Shehzad said the best way to pay tribute to the martyrs of police and security forces was to extend them all-out support against terrorism. The local elders assured that residents of the area would fully support law-enforcement agencies.
