Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Health Khawaja Imran Nazir has said the government is committed to providing modern health facilities to the people of Punjab, and maximum resources are being spent for the purpose. He said that a huge allocation of Rs 260 billion for health sector by Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif reflected his people-friendly policies. The minister said that revamping of the Kasur District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ) would be completed very soon and latest health facilities would be available at the local level. He stated this during his visit to the hospital. He was accompanied by Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan, according to a handout issued here on Sunday. Kasur Deputy Commissioner Saira Umer was also present. The minister inspected the newly-constructed emergency block, CT scan machine and the wards of the hospital.
