ISLAMABAD: For the first time, Lashings Cricket Club stormed into the semi-final of the NBP-ICA One-Day Tournament 2017 by edging out strong Lucky Star Club here at the Bhutto Cricket Ground on Monday.
Touseef Sarwar Abbasi scored a defiant 76 with the help of six fours.Lashings’ 233 proved a daunting task for Lucky Star who lost the match by just five runs with one wicket remaining.
Hasan Nawaz, who hit unbeaten 150 in the last match, scored 44 this time while speedster Muhammad Hussain chipped in three wickets to land Lashings home.“It’s a proud moment for the management and players of the Lashings Club,” said founder of Lashings Club Abdul Mohi Shah.
