China lauds Pak media positive role

BEIJING: Director China Radio International (CRI) Zhao Qiao has appreciated positive role of Pakistani media for promoting Pak-China relationship, particularly in the context of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
In an interview, Miss Zhao Qiao who is also Director of South Asia Center said the Pakistani media is making valuable contribution in keeping the people well aware of the long-term advantages of the CPEC and the BRI. These initiatives are going to leave very positive impact on the socio-economic life of the people, she added.
About the CRI, she was presenting news and different programs in Urdu language for Pakistani listeners to give them maximum Information regarding China.
CRI has translated popular Chinese TV serial 'Beijing Youth' in Urdu language that gives a good message to the people of Pakistan.
Eulogizing the depth and warmness of the Sino--Pak ties, Miss Zhao remarked a very positive image regarding Pakistan existed in Chinese society and at national level. Pakistan is considered as China's best friend world over.
About the CPEC, she further said, it has massive potential for the two countries and it will further consolidate Pakistan's natural link with China in a massive way,' she added.
"CPEC is a very important project and it would play an important role in bringing prosperity and socio-economic development in the entire region", she added.
She emphasized that it is imperative for both countries to enhance news exchange programs in order to promote and understanding in culture, education and in other fields of bilateral interest.
She said that journalists from both countries should play their due role for countering the negative propaganda against CPEC. She noted that CRI had signed a bilateral agreement with Independent News Pakistan (INP) that proved very fruitful in projecting the two countries in a positive way.
