Dadhocha Dam construction approved

LAHORE: The Punjab government Tuesday approved construction of Dadhocha Dam, Rawalpindi (Revised) at the cost of Rs 6.137 billion.
It also approved three other schemes in the 33rd meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party of current fiscal year 2017-18 presided over P&D Chairman Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan. The total worth of all four approved schemes is Rs 17.070 billion.
The approved development schemes included construction of Dadhocha Dam, Rawalpindi, (Revised scheme) at the cost of Rs 6137.571 million, rehabilitation and up-gradation of Fakhar Flood Bund RD 10+600 to 25+300m Rajanpur (DCRIP) at the cost of Rs 636.56 million, rehabilitation and up-gradation of River Training Works of Balloki Head Works, in district Kasur and Nankana Sahib (DCRIP) at the cost of Rs 1303.17 million and Punjab Chief Minister’s Stunting Reduction Programme at the cost of Rs 8993.000 million.
