Pervaiz Vandal Award 2017 ceremony

LAHORE: The architects paid rich tributes to Prof Pervaiz Vandal for educating a large number of architecture students who have now become a backbone of construction industry in Pakistan.
The architects were speaking at Pervaiz Vandal Award 2017 ceremony for art and architecture
held Friday at the Alhamra Hall.
Addressing the function, Prof Pervaiz Vandal said there could be no development in any sector of the country without concrete architecture industry.
He said it was hard work of the architects’ team which made the ceremony possible in a befitting manner.
He said after this ceremony an example had been set to appreciate the architects who did the best work in their field.
Prominent architects including Prof Dr Suha Ozkan (Turkey), Rukshan Widyalankara (Sri Lanka), Prof Dr Gulzar Haider, Prof Dr Arfa Sayeda Zehra, Prof Dr Rahat N. Masood, Mushtaq Soofi and Asad IA Khan were awarded shields and shawls on the occasion.
Architects of different companies and students attended the ceremony. Ustad Hamid Ali Khan performed on the occasion.
