Procedure for DDT claims demanded

KARACHI: The value-added textile exports sector associations have expressed concern over delay in the announcement of procedure to apply for the duty drawback of taxes (DDT) claims under the Prime Minister’s Export Package 2017/18, a statement said on Friday.
In a joint statement, Muhammad Jawed Bilwani, chairman of the Pakistan Apparel Forum (PAF), Muhammad Zubair Motiwala, chairman of the Council of All Pakistan Textile Associations (CAPTA) and others said that the value-added textile sector face hindrances because of such delays.
They requested the prime minister to direct the State Bank of Pakistan and the textile ministry to issue procedure to apply for DDT claims under the revised Prime Minister’s Export Package 2017/18 at the earliest, it added.
