KP PA panel reviews wardens recruitment

PESHAWAR: A meeting of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Standing Committee on Home & Tribal Affairs Department held here in Assembly Secretariat Wednesday with Chairperson, MPA Anisa Zeb Tahirkheli in the chair.
Besides, MPAs Mahmood Jan, Sardar Hussain Babak and Sardar Aurangzeb Nalotha, the authorities of Home& Tribal Affairs Department and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
The meeting reviewed in detail the recruitment of 793 wardens in different prisons of the province. Matters relating to proposals and procedure for transparency and strict merit for recruitment of wardens and watch staff of the prisons also come under discussion.
The meeting unanimously recommended the ensuring recruitment on all these vacancies through NTS or ETEA tests and observing the standard equal to recruitment of police including physical fitness, local quota and establishment of selection committee for the purpose and no recruitment should be in violation of the policy announced by the government.
