NOWSHERA: Deputy Commissioner Khwaja Muhammad Zeeshan Sikandar said on Wednesday that the youth should benefit from the expertise of the members of the Provincial Youth Assembly to play role in the country’s development.
Speaking at a meeting of the PYA in the district council hall, he said that the youth were an asset and could bring laurels for the country.
Zeeshan Sikandar said that educated youth could play role in keeping the country on the path to economic development.
“In current circumstances, quality education is obligatory for youth,” he said, adding that youth assembly was a learning centre for the younger generation.
He said that the assembly provided an opportunity to the youth to express their issues on every forum.
“The assembly provides you an opportunity to produce an honest leadership for the country and nation,” he added.
On the occasion, the assembly’s chairman Zeeshan Hoti said that PYA was a platform where the youth represented their areas.
“We not only discuss issues being faced by the youth but we also debate them,” he said, adding that they had discussed the issue to build a burn unit in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the Provincial Health Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai. Usma Khanm, Saima Bibi, Ashfaq Ahmad and others also spoke on the occasion.
