Jubilant firing injures boy

TOBA TEK SINGH: Sadr police on Sunday arrested a man for jubilant firing at a wedding function at Chak 294/JB.
The wedding of groom Mumtaz Ahmed was in progress when guest Waqar started aerial firing. A bullet hit boy Abu Bakar, which critically injured him. Rescue-1122 shifted him to DHQ hospital. Police have arrested accused Waqar after registering a case against him. It also arrested nine other guests of the wedding ceremony for burning fireworks.
VALUABLES LOOTED: Dacoits looted a house in Low Income Housing Colony at Gojra in the wee hours of Sunday. House owner M Arshad informed the Gojra city police that four outlaws barged into his house and tortured his family members on offering resistance. Dacoits snatched cash worth Rs20,000 after torturing a motorcyclist at Gojra on Sunday. M Shahbaz of Chak 178/GB was going to Gojra from his village. When he reached near the city, two dacoits intercepted him at gunpoint and severely tortured him on offering resistance before snatching the cash.
