Street crimes

This is to draw the attention of the concerned authorities to the rise of street crimes in Karachi. The incidents of mobile phone snatching have again gained momentum. People now do not feel safe while walking on roads, sitting in a bus and riding on motorcycles. Although residents have filed complaints, the relevant department has not taken any action to date. Robbers rob people in broad daylight..
It is the responsibility of the government and the law-enforcement agencies to take some concrete steps to root out this crime. The police should patrol areas on a regular basis. The government, on the other hand, can increase the punishment of such crimes and ensure more security on deserted roads.
