Extortionist killed in Akora

NOWSHERA: The security forces claimed to have killed an extortionist in an exchange of fire in Akora Khattak on Sunday.
The sources said that an alleged extortionist, Gohar Ali Khattak, was wanted to the law enforcement agencies for his links with the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan. He was allegedly involved in extortion and kidnapping for ransom.
The security forces said that a search party raided his house in Shaidu and asked him to surrender. The sources claimed that announcements were made through loudspeakers after soldiers surrounded his house asking Gohar to surrender.However, the sources said, firing started on soldiers from the house. The soldiers, they said, killed the extortionist in the retaliatory fire.
