Seven-day notice for dismissal of BoK MD issued

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has issued 7-day notice for dismissal of Managing Director Bank of Khyber (BoK) Shamusl Qayyum. 

It is stated in the dismissal notice, issued on September 6 by the KP government, that BoK MD  is being removed from his job under Section 7 of Contract Agreement because he has levelled baseless allegations against provincial government and provincial finance minister and it comes under the ambit of misconduct.

The provincial finance minister also sent complaint to the provincial government against him. The complaint was reviewed unanimously in the meeting of provincial cabinet on September 6 which had decided to send 7-day notice for his removal from the post and it was further stated in the notice that the appointment of BoK MD would be considered laid-off after seven days.

The removal notice, issued by Budget Officer of Finance Division Hammad Raza, has been sent to 14 concerned officers.
