Able people be appointed for depts’ audit: president

ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain said on Wednesday that able and proficient people should be appointed for audit of the government departments. Talking to Auditor General of Pakistan Javaid Jehangir, who called on him after assuming his office in Islamabad, the president said that the Auditor General of Pakistan (AGP) had an important role in promotion of transparency and national development. The president hoped that under the newly appointed auditor general, the institution will take further measures for financial betterment and concentrate on stopping wastage of funds and corruption in government institutions.
