Teacher suspended for smacking

School Education Department (SED) Punjab has suspended Ms. Razia Sultana, EST of Government Model Primary School Chak No. 458/JB, Wali Shah, district Jhang on account of charges of imparting corporal punishment to a student, Muhammad Altaf with immediate effect.

The department has also constituted a two-member inquiry panel comprising Robina Naheed, senior headmistress and Nasreen Abdullah, deputy district education officer of tehsil Jhang to probe the matter and furnish a report within two days. Formal orders in this regard have been issued. 

Meanwhile, Secretary Schools Dr Allah Bakhsh Malik has congratulated course coordinator of Quaid-e-Azam Academy for Educational Development (QAED) Dr Sameea Naz on completing PhD degree and hoped that she would continue to work with same zeal to give quality training to the teachers.
