TOBA TEK SINGH: Mobilephone meter reading will be introduced as an experiment by the Fesco under which photos of electricity meters will be snapped. Fesco deputy commercial manager Zulfiqar Ali said 20 mobilephones were being provided to meter readers of each sub-division of the district. Imparting training to meter readers, he said when a meter reader will take the picture of a meter that picture will automatically reach to all relevant sections for billing. He said after the completion of training new mobile meter reader system will be started from March.
