FIR in cops’ murder registered
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday registered a case against unknown assailants for killing two policemen, police sources said.
The case has been registered under the Terrorism Act against unknown accused who gunned down two police personnel Syed Nasir Abbas Shah and Syed Ali Amar who were returning home after performing duty at Kotli Imam Hussain.
Earlier, the funeral prayer of the martyred police jawans was offered at Police Lines in Dera Ismail Khan city.
Meanwhile, Regional Police Officer Syed Fida Hassan Shah, District Police Officer Raja Abdul Saboor, Station Commander Brigadier Muhammad Atif Mansha and others at a ceremony paid tributes to the slain policemen. The martyred jawans were buried at their native villages Kathgadh and Sagvi Matwala Shah with state honours.
