Class 10 student kills sister for honour in Multan court
MULTAN: A class 10 student allegedly killed his 16-year-old sister and injured two others for honour on the LHC Multan Bench premises here on Tuesday.
Kalsoom Surani, a resident of Lalgarh, Rajanpur district, had eloped with Rafaqat Ali alias Pana belonging to Nokani Baloch tribe and contracted love marriage with him in Rahimyar Khan a week ago while her father Tawakal Surani had lodged a complaint with Lalgarh police against Rafaqat for kidnapping her. Later, Kalsoom and her husband Rafaqat filed a petition in the LHC Multan Bench for protection. On the day of the incident, Kalsoom with her husband Rafaqat was present in the court for hearing of their petition when her brother Zulqarnain Haider opened fire on her. Kalsoom was killed on the spot while her husband Rafaqat was injured. A lawyer, Sohail, was also injured in the attack. The accused surrendered himself to the police.
