Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar launched a tree plantation campaign in the city on Monday. Speaking to newsmen, he said the local government was committed to increase tree cover and make the metropolis a greener city. The mayor asserted that the tree plantation campaign would continue throughout the year. Deputy Mayor Arshad Vohra also inaugurated a plantation campaign in District East.
