Inter-academy Under-19 Football Tournament from today
KARACHI: The first edition of Naya Nazimabad Inter Academy Under-19 Football Tournament commences on Tuesday (today) here at the newly developed Naya Nazimabad Football Ground.
Seven academy teams of Karachi will be seen in action during the tournament. The teams have been divided into two pools and the tournament round matches will be played on league basis and progress through group stages. Two top teams from each group will qualify for the semi-finals. The final will be played on August 13.
The winning team will receive Rs30,000, while the runners-up will pocket Rs20,000. The player of the tournament will receive Rs5000. Pool A consists of Gulshan Soccer FA (GSFA), Karachi United FA Lyari (KUFA), Garrison FA Malir Cantt. (GFAMC) and hosts Naya Nazimabad FA (NNFA). Madhoo Mohammadan FA (MMFA), Sixteen Star FA (SSFA) and National Soccer FA (NSFA) are placed in Pool B.
