Unabated terrorism
Lahore, the second largest city of the country, was struck by a gruesome suicide attack which claimed the lives of 26 people and left 50 people wounded. The need of the hour is to conduct a military operation in Punjab to weaken terrorists. Despite several military operations, unabated terrorists’ attacks continue to wreak havoc in the country. A series of suicide attacks has created a wave of fear among people. One cannot gather the courage to go to a crowded place because of the inherent fear that something bad might happen.
All the institutions, including education institutions, are under the threat of terrorist attacks. Such attacks can be averted with good intelligence and timely measures. Security agencies should come up with concrete measures to put a halt to such attacks and ensure the safety of people.
