World Hepatitis Day is observed on July 28 to raise the awareness regarding the disease across the world. Hepatitis is a viral disease that affects the liver of a person. It is one of the most dangerous diseases of the world and is often called life-threatening. According to some media reports, over eight million people in Pakistan are living with hepatitis C. This is indeed an exacerbating issue and must be dealt with in an efficient manner.
The common symptoms of hepatitis C are: acute stomach pain, nausea and vomiting, and loss of appetite. If condition worsens, people are advised to see a doctor on time. The healthcare department should also conduct seminars to raise awareness among people. They should be encouraged to have complete medical checkup at least twice a year.
