KOHAT: The security forces foiled a terror bid and seized a truck loaded with weapons and explosives in the Darra Adamkhel Friday, official sources said.
They said the security forces were informed that militants would try to smuggle huge cache of arms and ammunition in a truck from Darra Adamkhel to Karachi. They said that the security forces in an action in Zarghun area in Darra Adamkhel recovered the arms and ammunition.
The recovered weapons included 10 Kalashnikovs, 80 pistols, three heavy machine guns, several rifles, huge cache of explosives and 17,000 of cartridges from the truck. They security forces also arrested two militants identified as Luqman and Irshad and shifted them to an undisclosed location for an interrogation, the sources added.
