The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government claims that it has played a vital role in uplifting the province’s education sector. In reality, the sector has shown no sign of improvement. Despite spending billions of rupees, the provincial government has failed to bring visible changes to this deplorable sector. According to the report, hundreds of thousands of children of school-going age had so far not enrolled to educational institutions of the province.
Government representatives declared that billions of rupees had been spent on the provision of missing facilities, including boundary walls, power supply, potable water, washrooms and furniture, to schools. However the deplorable condition of state-owned education institutions still persists. The provincial government needs to make efforts for resolving the serious issues that are plaguing the education sector.
