LAHORE: Despite the Ahmadpur Sharqia tragedy, senior Rahim Yar Khan officers visited the spot very late after another oil tanker overturned in Liaquatpur on Thursday.

The oil tanker (TLS-696) driven by Umar Hayat Pathan of Multan was on its way from Karachi to Sher Shah, Multan. The 14-wheel oil tanker was loaded with 40,000 litre petrol. The oil tanker driver took a sharp turn to avert collision. As a result, it overturned.

They informed Rescue 1122 and all police and administration officials concerned including Assistant Commissioner Akhtar Mandhera and DC Sucrat Aman Rana.  According to the official record, the SHO concerned reached the scene within 10 minutes of the accident and Rescue 1122 officials in 33 minutes .
