Academicians at a condolence reference held at Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) paid homage to late Professor Dr. Saeeda Asadullah Khan, former vice-chancellor of the Fatima Jinnah Women University.
The speakers including the incumbent VC of FJWU Dr. Samina Amin Qadir eulogised great qualities of her mind and heart and her contribution as researcher and educationist. She was a towering personality in the educational field who worked with dignity and grace throughout her life. She courageously and boldly defended the cause of the students while working as a vice chancellor and in other positions, the speakers added. “Dr. Saeeda was a wonderful teacher and researcher and top of that best human being”, said AIOU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shahid Siddiqui while presiding over the condolence meeting. She had been a role model for her colleagues and students in fulfilling given responsibilities with honesty, dedication and commitment.
She made effective contribution in development of PhD level programmes and educating critical theories to her students. Her death brought shock to him and many of her others friends, students and family members.
