Pakistani scientist’s work makes it to title page of international journal
Representing Pakistan, the work of scientist Dr Sammer Yousuf, an associate professor at the International Centre for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, has appeared on the cover page of a prestigious international science journal for its June issue.
According to an official at ICCBS, Dr Sammer’s work which is part of a research project of her student Ammara Shahid was chosen for the journal, Acta Crystallographica Section C: Structural Chemistry.
The work focusing on improved structural studies based on X-ray diffraction data is now a part of the Acta Crystallographica C (impact factor 4.09) dubbed as a prestigious journal under International Union of Crystallography (IUCr).
Chancellor KU Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan, former federal minister for science and technology, Professor Atta-ur Rahman, and Director ICCBS Professor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary congratulated Dr Sammer.
